Thoughtful Thursday & Your Unknown Superpower

I have a something I use with all of my clients called Processing Emotion N.O.W.

I believe that one of our superpowers as human is the ability to process emotion.

I never really learned this skill when I was younger, but learning how to really do this has been a game changer for me.

I have learned that my emotions won't actually hurt me.

They are there to help me move through this human experience and they can be some of my greatest teachers.

I spend a lot of time teaching people how to manage their minds but that doesn't work when we are unable to manage our emotions.

When we are experiencing elevated or perhaps unwanted emotions, we have a tendency as humans to resist, react, or avoid them.

However, these methods only prolong the emotional process without truly resolving it.

It will eventually resurface at some point.

When we take the time to process an emotion, we can release it and we can learn from it.

Emotion is always trying to tell or teach us something.

Not only that.

The better we get at allowing and processing our emotions, we signal to our brains that these feelings will not cause us harm

Embracing discomfort opens up so many possibilities.

We empower ourselves to do things we never thought possible.

Have you ever considered which emotion you fear experiencing the most?

What would be different in your life if you could get better at allowing and processing that emotion?

What could you create?
